Just thought I'd get that out of the way.
Second of all: lol, "dry out of dryad" I'm a genius!...
Third of all: whut? I uploaded something? how is that possible?
Fourth of all: I am painfully aware of how crappy the size and quality is. InDesign is a page layout program, not the second coming of Photoshop. I have no choice. Maybe in a few days, I'll put up the original manip in color.


Anyway, I just finished this ad for my Applied Computer Graphic Design class. And yes, this is the fateful, fugly photomanip I was talking about doing for this project. And why is it so bland? Project specifications, I could only use Black and a spot color (I picked Pantone DS 285-1 U, if any one ever looks at this who might know what that means). And tints were fair game (because it's just different amounts of the same ink) so that's why it appears to have multiple greens.

For the manipulation I used 's stock here (lovely lady, shame I had to mess her up so). And grabbed a random tree and some mulberry leaves off some educational sites I found through Google. Then hacked it all together in Photoshop CS2. Feel free to say my manip job sucks, cuz it does in a lot of ways (I told you I hated maniping, but noooooo, I had to have one).
Logo was made in Illustrator CS2.
Everything put together and text laid down in InDesign CS2.
